Dr. Raed Hashaikeh is an associate professor, Materials Science and Engineering program, Institute Center for Water and Environment (iWater), Masdar Institute. Dr. Hashaikeh received his Ph.D. in Materials Engineering from McGill University in 2005. Before joining Masdar Institute, he spent two years at FP Innovations – Paprican division, Canada, as a scientist. In 2008-2009, he was a visiting scholar at MIT. His research falls in the area of advanced materials development that addresses challenges in water and energy storage technologies. His work involves membrane fabrication and process development to generate functional nanostructures with particular emphasis on nanofibrous. He is on the editorial board of Applied Spectroscopy Journal (IF: 3.75).
