PhD, MBA, Principal Process Development Engineer, Belgium
Alessio Spessot received the Laurea degree (cum laude) in Physics from the University of Triest (Italy) and the Ph.D. degree in Solid State Physics from the University of Modena (Italy), in 2003 and 2006, respectively. In 2006 he joined the Non-Volatile Memory Process Development Group, Central Research and Development department of STMicroelectronics (now Numonyx), Agrate Brianza, Milano, Italy. His research activities include characterization and modeling of MOS devices and advanced non-volatile memories. He published more than 50 papers in device physics and solid state physics. He also authored and co-authored various patents in circuital application, semiconductor process development and hardware improvement. Dr. Alessio Spessot received various recognitions, in particular the “Young Scientist Award” provided by the European Materials Research Society in 2006, the “IMC16 Scholarship for Young Scientist” by Kazato Foundation in 2006 and the “Best Paper Award” by IEEE WMED in 2011. Now Dr. Alessio Spessot is Coordinator of Micron external research at IMEC for process integration, device performance analysis and simulation for Advanced Logic and Emerging Memories.
